Works Are No Substitute For Salvation.
(Revelation 20:11-12, 15):

The bible talks about the book of life and the dead were judged with the book of life according to their works.

People of God, books were opened and those books contained records of works. And another was opened which is the book of life; which contain the names of those who are saved. And the bible said when the book is open; anybody whose name was not found written in the book was cast into the lake of fire.

People of God, the implication or the meaning of this is that your name must first be found in the book before your works will be located in the books. And that is why rewards are earned but salvation is free. So the books where works are contained cannot be the book of life.

That’s why Revelation draws clear distinction between the book of life and the books containing the records of works.

"Nobody is saved because of Works". So the book of works cannot be book of life; the book of life contains the list of those who are saved and they are saved by grace. It is a gift according to their faith. They are saved by grace through faith and it is a gift. So the books couldn’t have been the book of salvation and so if one’s name is not found in the book of life, that one is cast into the lake of fire.

Meaning that whatsoever records anybody has in the books of works don’t amount to anything the person is first and foremost found in the book of life.

Therefore people of God, we must be careful not to try to substitute works for salvation; it will not work.
